Former Celtic Walter McCarty and congressman Joe Kennedy III were among the familiar faces at the Horizons for Homeless Children annual gala over the weekend. Also there were Sankaty Advisors managing partner Jonathan Lavine, Channel 4 anchor Lisa Hughes , and “Greater Boston” host Emily Rooney . . . . Meanwhile, comedians Lenny Clarke and Tony V had them laughing at the AccesSport America annual auction at the Royal Sonesta Hotel. (Next up for Clarke is a role in the CBS pilot “The McCarthys,” a comedy about a sports-crazed Boston clan. And Tony V plays a Boston cop in the soon-to-be-released “The Heat” starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy .) Also there were “The Fighter” producer Dot Aufiero , Moody Street Pictures founder John MacNeil, Channel 5 president Bill Fine , and Ross Lilley , executive director of AccesSport America, which uses sports and training to help people with disabilities.
