James Montgomery celebrated the release of his new CD, “From Detroit to the Delta,” with a show at Scullers. (Aerosmith’s Brad Whitford and Joey Kramer and bluesmen Johnny Winter and James Cotton play on the CD.) Montgomery’s guests at Scullers included former Boston guitarist Barry Goudreau and saxophonist Grace Kelly (above, with Montgomery) . . . DJ Sky Blu, who’s half of the dynamic duo known as LMFAO, was the special guest spinner at GEM Restaurant & Lounge’s first anniversary party this week. Sky Blu, whose grandfather is Motown founder Berry Gordy, was accompanied by his girlfriend, Chelsea Korka, a singer/dancer formerly of the girl group, Paradiso Girls. . . . Meanwhile, Dr. Travis Stork, onetime “Bachelor” and current cohost of “The Doctors,” was at the Revere Hotel this week taping a segment for the show. . . . Olympic Judo champ Kayla Harrison shared her story with guests at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children’s annual “Together Against Abuse Dinner and Gala” at the Fairmont Copley Hotel. The event, chaired by Bain Capital managing partner Steve Pagliuca, raised more than $800,000 for organization.
