“The Avengers” may have been overlooked by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences — OK, it did get a nomination for best visual effects — but it was the big winner at the MTV Movie Awards. The movie starring Sudbury’s own Chris Evans was named movie of the year and also won for best fight and best villain (for Tom Hiddleston as Loki.) Evans, who played Captain America in the summer blockbuster, was there to collect his prize — the golden popcorn bucket. . . . Also making the scene was greasy-haired actor Bradley Cooper , taking a break from filming in Boston with director David O. Russell . Mark Wahlberg , meanwhile, who won best on-screen duo, was a no-show.
