The Bright Lights, Big City Gala, which was held at the Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common on Saturday night, drew big names and raised big money (almost $200,000) for Jaden’s Ladder, an organization that helps domestic violence survivors with next steps. Guests at the event included Celtics legend Jo Jo White, who hosted the night; Atlanta Falcon Harry Douglas; actress Rae Dawn Chong, who apparently lives in New Hampshire; “Boston’s Finest” police personality Jennifer Penton; and singer Taylor Dayne, who performed. Nicole Maxey, who promoted the event, said that almost all guests were able to get into town for the party even though some flights were delayed because of last week’s tragedy in Boston.
