Sarah Silverman lends voice to One Fund raffle

New Hampshire actress and comedian Sarah Silverman (right) has joined the list of local celebs raising money for One Fund Boston. If you win the raffle being promoted on the Celebrities for Charity Foundation website, Silverman, who went to the The Derryfield School in Manchester, N.H., will leave the outgoing message on your voicemail. Other raffle prizes include a football autographed by Tom Brady and two tickets to see the Rolling Stones. Worth mentioning is that Celebrities for Charity says that it gives about 90 percent of proceeds to the cause. The site explains: “netRaffle.org is a patented business model designed to provide fans access to [prizes] while helping celebrities to raise funds to support their charitable causes. Direct expenses amount to approximately 8.5% of the minimum $10.00 transaction and 5% of the $25.00 average transaction. Leaving between 86.5 and 90% for charity after the 5% Massachusetts Charitable Gaming Tax is paid.” You can buy tickets through Monday at 3. They’re $2 each and there’s a five-ticket minimum.
