Possible names for Beyoncé’s next baby

With Beyoncé reportedly pregnant with her second child, we are reminded of the kerfuffle that followed the birth of her first child. You’ll recall that Beyoncé and Jay-Z named their daughter Blue Ivy, and they did what all proud parents do: They filed a trademark application to protect their baby’s name. That made Boston event planner Veronica Alexandra nervous, because she owns a business called Blue Ivy. She then filed her own trademark application, and in 2012 the US Patent and Trademark Office approved her application. In case Beyoncé and Jay-Z are thinking of naming their second child after another Boston-based business, we thought we’d help with a few suggestions for the sibling of Blue Ivy Carter.
