Pine Manor College has sold 5.2 acres of property in Brookline to a limited liability company with ties to Tom Brady, leading us to think the Patriots QB will indeed be building a home for his growing brood. The small college in Chestnut Hill sold the property at 400 Heath St. for $4.5 million, according to records on file with the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds. The buyer is listed as 3DBB Brookline LLC, whose LA address is also the address of the sports management and consulting firm Yee & Dubin LLP, which represents Brady. Neither Brady's name nor his wife's — that'd be supermodel Gisele Bundchen — appears on the deed, but the sale comes amid speculation that the couple was looking for land to build a new house. (Brady and Bundchen are not homeless: The couple recently completed work on a lavish, 22,000-square-foot spread in LA.) Dubin did not respond to questions about the sale, and Robert Allen, a Brookline attorney who's been representing the buyer, could not be reached for comment Friday. Last winter, Allen, who has declined to name his client, sought permission from Brookline's Zoning Board of Appeals to subdivide a piece of the school's property so it could be sold and developed. Coincidentally — or not — Patriots owner Robert Kraft and team president Jonathan Kraft both live near the property and supported the plan.
