Sweetgreen opens on Boylston Street

Georgetown University graduates Nicolas Jammet, Jonathan Neman, and Nathaniel Ru were in town on Wednesday night to celebrate the new Boston location of their farm-to-table chain Sweetgreen. The company, which is all about health, local foods, and sustainability, opened its first eatery in Washington, D.C., in 2007. The Hub location is on Boylston Street in the former Ritz Camera space. Guests at the party, which featured music and lots of snacks, included (from left) Shakira MacLyons of Boston, Lena Andrade of Quincy, and Nicole Eckhardt of Norwood. The Sweetgreen company hosts a music festival in the D.C. area every spring; this year’s acts included Kendrick Lamar, Gary Clark Jr., and Boston-born band Passion Pit.
