Governor Deval Patrick was the man of honor at this year’s Fine Arts Work Center Summer Awards Celebration. He was joined at the Provincetown party on Saturday night by his wife, Diane, former Fine Arts Work Center honorees Tony Kushner and Michael Cunningham, and artists
Nathalie Miebach, Linda Bond, Jim Peters, and Nicky Tavares, who’ve all won Massachusetts Cultural Council Artist Fellowship awards during Patrick’s administration. The artists’ works are being featured in the center’s new exhibition, “The Importance of Artists Among Us,” which runs through July 26. Also at the party were event co-chairs Margaret Murphy and Daniel Mullin, and the Fine Arts Work Center’s executive director, Michael Roberts.
