Emerson’s Kevin Bright pays respect to TV legend

Fellow Emerson alums — and super successful TV producers — Kevin Bright and Norman Lear got together in Los Angeles this week. Lear, the creator of “All in the Family,” turns 91 Saturday, and Bright, the executive producer of “Friends,” stopped by to say hello. Bright was recently named founding director of Emerson’s new Los Angeles Center, which is on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. It opens in January. . . .

Imagine Dragons were out and about during their appearance in Boston. The band, which played at the Bank of America Pavilion, did a MIX Lounge for a few lucky 104.1 listeners at the Emerald Lounge, and drummer Dan Platzman took some time to have lunch with his cousin Lisa Bagley, a nurse at Boston Children’s Hospital, at Legal Test Kitchen. . . .
