John Cena goes under the knife

We’re pleased to report that WWE star — and West Newbury native — John Cena is on the mend after surgery. Word is Cena will be out of the ring for 4-6 weeks while he recovers from the procedure to repair a torn triceps muscle. Interestingly, the beefcake body-slammer’s surgery was done by Dr. James Andrews, who’s treated a number of well-known local athletes, including Tom Brady, Rajon Rondo, Roger Clemens, and, most recently, oft-injured Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz. We’re guessing Cena’s girlfriend, WWE Diva Nikki Bella, will help nurse him back to health.
