Boston Lyric Opera celebrated its 37th season with a soiree and a VIP after-party at the Wang Theatre. (The company’s production of Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” debuted earlier at the Shubert Theatre.) The evening raised $645,000 for the BLO, the largest amount ever raised by the annual gala. The crowd included BLO artistic director Esther Nelson, who wore a dress by Alexander McQueen; architect Ann Beha, who wore a handmade ensemble from Shanghai; Lynn Dale, CEO of Lynn Dale Events, who wore Tadashi Shoji; and State Street VP Jessica Donohue, who wore Nicole Miller.

Due to a reporting error, an earlier version had an incorrect spelling of David Tay.
