Local actors and filmmakers gathered at photographer Cheryl Richards’s studio at the Park Plaza last week to celebrate Imagine magazine and its October cover girl, Boston-area actress Melissa McMeekin, best known as one of the sisters in “The Fighter.” McMeekin is featured in the issue and talks about her venture into screenwriting. Also at the party was SAG/AFTRA New England Local executive director Susan Nelson , actress-producer Elika Portnoy, Oscar winner
