Constantine Maroulis, the Boston Conservatory alum who was a finalist on “American Idol,” was at opening night of “We Will Rock You” at the Opera House. We’re told Maroulis, who earned a Tony nomination for his role in the musical “Rock of Ages,” is friendly with actress Ruby Lewis, who plays Scaramouche in the show based on the music of Queen. . . . A shout-out to longtime local publicist Sandra Goroff, who finally gets to hype something of her own. Goroff, who’s worked with the likes of Clive Cussler, Chris Van Allsburg, Maurice Sendak, Peter Guralnick, and Tracy Kidder, among others, has just published “Solitary Soul,” a book of photographs from around New England.
