Beloved Harvard Square restaurant UpStairs on the Square, which closes for good at the end of the year, had a Sunday-night party for couples who got married there and at the restaurant’s former incarnation, UpStairs on the Pudding. Co-owner Mary-Catherine Deibel and her husband, Reid Fleming (front), were joined for the party by more than 60 couples, including the Atlantic’s Corby Kummer and former state public health commissioner John Auerbach (background, second from left), who got married at UpStairs in 2004, and WBUR’s “It’s Only a Game” host Bill Littlefield and his wife, Mary (front, far right), who had a Pudding reception in 1982. The restaurant’s last day of business is New Year’s Eve.
