John Kerry sends off Olympic-bound stars

Secretary of State John Kerry, who played hockey at Yale and still skates in the occasional pick-up game, bid farewell to a few Olympics-bound NHL stars before the Washington Capitals-Winnipeg Jets game in D.C. the other night. Kerry shook hands with Alexander Ovechkin (above), who’ll be going for the gold with the Russian team, and Natick’s own John Carlson, who’ll be playing for Team USA.
