Maine ski trail to honor poet Richard Blanco

It’s all downhill for Richard Blanco. Literally. The poetwho read at President Obama’s second inauguration will have a trail dedicated in his honor on Saturday at Mt. Abram ski area in western Maine. The trail will be named after the poem Blanco wrote for the inauguration, titled “One Today.” Barring injury, after the inaugural run down the slope, Blanco will sign copies of his latest book, “For All of Us, One Today,” in the Mt. Abram lodge. (We’re told the party will continue in the Loose Boots Lounge with a set by DJ Deepshine.) Located about 70 miles from Portland — and very near Blanco’s home in Bethel — Mt. Abram opened in 1960.
