The opening of Mike Toth’s photography exhibit, “US: American Stories,” at C & J Katz Studio in South Boston was a rousing success. Family and friends celebrated with Toth, the founder of Toth + Co., and chef Ana Sortun of Oleana catered with a menu inspired by the photos. (Toth shoots everything from county fairs and demolition derbies to beauty pageants and rodeos, so there were a few different flavors.) Sales of books and prints benefited head and neck cancer research at Mass. Eye and Ear, where Toth was treated by Dr. Dan Deschler and his wife, Dr. Eileen Reynolds.
