President Francois Hollande of France showed up alone at the state dinner held in his honor at the White House. But “l’affaire Hollande” was likely very much on the minds of the celebrities, Democratic donors, pols, and pals of President Obama that made up the 350-person guest list. Locals included Jonathan Lavine of Sankaty Advisors, who lives in Weston, and Tufts Health Plan CEO Jim Roosevelt Jr. They were joined by an A-list crowd that included the Cambridge-born Mindy Kaling, director J. J. Abrams, actor Bradley Cooper, and Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert.
