John Patrick Shanley talks ‘Doubt’ at Merrimack


Oscar, Tony, and Pulitzer winner John Patrick Shanley was at Merrimack College last week to talk about his play “Doubt: A Parable,” which was just staged by the school’s Department of Visual and Performing Arts. While in town, Shanley (left) participated in a panel discussion called “Doubt, Certainty, and the Nature of Public Discourse in America,” and mingled with Merrimack alum Julie Nolan, and the college’s “Doubt” director, the Rev. Richard Piatt.
