As they do every year, friends and patrons of the American Repertory Theater gathered Monday for an annual fund-raising gala. Held at the Park Plaza Castle, the event, co-chaired by Wilderness Point Investments founder RoAnn Costin and Newbury Comics owner Mike Dreese, featured the requisite fine food, festive attire, and a performance by Norm Lewis, who was in the cast of the ART’s “The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess.” Also there among the benefactors and boldfacers was the cast of the ART’s new musical “Witness Uganda.”
