An unpopular message from Tossers frontman

The Tossers, a Chicago-based Celtic punk band that has opened in the past for the Dropkick Murphys and legendary Irish act the Pogues, blew through the area earlier this week with shows at the Middle East in Cambridge and Fete in Providence. During Tuesday’s Middle East show, which was sparkling but lasted for only 50 minutes, lead singer Tony Duggins apparently punctuated the band’s final song by yelling “Let’s go Blackhawks!” Naturally, most of the room began to boo. Walking off the stage, Duggins responded with a laugh and an emphatic middle finger.
