There were a few memorable twosomes at the Institute of Contemporary Arts’s annual Party on the Harbor on Friday night. One was Boston Ballet dancer Shelby Elsbree and international dance star Lil Buck, who traded some moves on the museum dance floor. Buck was flown in to perform during the ICA’s gala dinner with Yo-Yo Ma, but stuck around for most of the late-night festivities. Another good Party on the Harbor twosome was Questlove of the Roots and ICA executive director Jill Medvedow, who posed for photos together. Questlove DJ’d the party, which went until about 1 a.m. and included tarot card readings in the ICA elevator, and an opening DJ set by Frank White. Buck, who seemed a bit starstruck by Questlove (“I don’t think he’ll remember me,” he confessed), told us that he had to fly out to Vegas shortly after the party was over, but that he planned to come back to Boston so that he could have time for some real tourism. The event raised more than $1 million for the museum.
