Scott Cooper films more ‘Black Mass’ in Cambridge
Director Scott Cooper continued to film the adaptation of “Black Mass: Whitey Bulger, the FBI, and a Devil’s Deal” in Cambridge on Friday. He was spotted with his crew (above left) at the fake Triple O’s Lounge that has been built for the film not far from Inman Square. Actors rehearsed a fight scene (right), while former Globe writers Gerry O’Neill and Dick Lehr — who wrote “Black Mass” — were also on the scene. Meanwhile, Benedict Cumberbatch, who’s been tapped to play Billy Bulger in the film, was far from the set — in Monte Carlo — where he watched the Formula One Grand Prix at Circuit de Monaco.
