First night of ‘Twelfth Night’ is a party

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company celebrated the opening of “Twelfth Night,” this summer’s free Shakespeare on the Common production, with a party at the Parkman House. Guests included CSC founding artistic director Steven Maler, actor/writer Mike O’Malley, whose sister Kerry plays Viola in the show, Babson College president Kerry Healey, Pops maestro Keith Lockhart and wife Emiley, and British Consul General
Susie Kitchens
and son Tyson. “Twelfth Night” runs through Aug. 10. . . . Grammy winner Bruce Hornsby put his feet up at the newly opened 21 Broad Street Hotel on Nantucket while on the island to perform at the Nantucket Music Festival this weekend. . . . Oscar winner Chris Cooper, “Leftovers” author Tom Perrotta, advice maven Margo Howard, and singer Will Dailey were among the familiar faces at a party at Bar Louie celebrating the publication of “Off the Leash: A Year at the Dog Park” by Globe TV critic Matthew Gilbert.
