Watertown’s Eliza Dushku was robbed at the Omni Hotel in Providence over the weekend and used social media to help catch the culprits, according to her Twitter account. The actress, who recently moved back to the Boston area to go to school, reported via Twitter on Halloween, “Was just robbed in front of my hotel a few hrs ago.” She described the alleged thieves, who took a Louis Vuitton bag given to her years ago by Sharon Osborne, as men in costume. “One of the guys wore a GOLD HEAD TO TOE ‘Caesar’ outfit. Help.” She added, “They were rumored by bystanders to have gotten off on the 8th or 10th floor. Eyes open in the a.m. PLEASE.” Later, Dushku tweeted, “Update: men found in hotel, w/my luggage, apprehended & spending wknd in jail until+. U guys helped this happen. I am VERY grateful.” The Providence Journal reported Saturday that police had charged Jamie Lange, 30, of Boca Raton, Fla., with larceny and had a warrant out for 27-year-old Scott Pryor. Dushku, of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” was in Providence for Rhode Island Comic Con, which also advertised appearances by William Shatner, John Rhys-Davies from “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, J. August Richards from “Angel” and “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” and Peter Mayhew, a.k.a, Chewbacca.
