Don’t expect those canceled Bill Cosby shows to be rescheduled any time soon. Promoter Bill Blumenreich told us Monday that he has no plans to bring the controversial comedian back to the Wilbur Theatre, despite Cosby’s claim that the shows were canceled because of the storm and not because of protests stemming from the sexual assault allegations facing him. “Nope,” said Blumenreich when asked if Sunday’s canceled shows will be made up at some point. The promoter also said ticketholders will be given a full refund. “All along, I’ve been offering refunds to anyone who called or e-mailed after [the allegations against Cosby],” Blumenreich said. “Everyone will be refunded.” Despite canceling shows elsewhere, including one in Worcester a few weeks ago, it appeared Cosby, 77, planned to take the stage for two shows at the Wilbur Sunday. Then he pulled the plug. “I have decided to cancel for your travel safety,” he said in a statement. “No need to worry, I will be back soon to raise the roof with laughter.” We’ll see about that.
