David O. Russell project will film in Wilmington
It's unclear how the snow has affected the local production of the new David O. Russell movie, but we do know that the project will film scenes in Wilmington next week. OnLocationVacations.com, which tracks movie sets around the country, says that the film, which stars Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, and Robert De Niro, will shoot around Federal Street starting next Thursday. The film's name has been reported as "Joy" (it's a biopic of Miracle Mop inventor Joy Mangano), but it seems to have another title on paper. The announcement of the Wilmington shoot by 20th Century Fox calls the project "Kay's Baptism." Of course, movie titles change frequently. "American Hustle," the last film Russell made in Massachusetts, was called "American [Expletive]" for much of production. Lawrence is already in town for the project. She's been spotted working out at Flywheel Sports in the Prudential Center.
