Our favorite thing about the New England Historic Genealogical Society’s benefit dinner is that we get to learn about the family trees of the organization’s famous honorees. The recipients of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Awards at the NEHGS Family History Benefit Dinner were Mary Matalin and James Carville. Turns out, Matalin is an 11th cousin once removed of President Barack Obama, and Carville is a 10th cousin of Angelina Jolie. The dinner and ceremony for the couple was held Friday at the Taj.
