Former Patriots cheerleader Camille Kostek has had a busy week on the Internet.

On Monday, TMZ broke the news that the Connecticut native was dating Patriot Rob Gronkowski. Meanwhile, it was also announced Monday that she’d been named the new ambassador for the Rhode Island company Benrus. By Tuesday afternoon, the military-inspired fashion brand had launched a new website with Kostek all over it.

Kostek, 23, who spoke with us Wednesday, said she’s been traveling a lot lately, so she hasn’t been free to watch her profile rise.

She did confirm the rumors — “Rob and I have been seeing each other,” she told us. “We’re both super busy right now. Obviously he does a lot and I do a lot.”

Kostek was a Patriots cheerleader from 2013 through this year’s Super Bowl. She said she decided to leave the job because she wanted to find new opportunities.

“I kind of relate myself to Vince Wilfork,” she said, of her last big gig being the Super Bowl. “There wasn’t a better way to close it out.”

Kostek majored in communications at Eastern Connecticut State and hoped to pursue broadcast journalism, but not long after she left the Pats, she met Benrus CEO Giovanni Feroce and began working with the brand. She said she couldn’t pass up the opportunity; when she was younger she served as a model for the Madison, Conn., store Ciao Bella and appeared in commercials for the boutique.

“I loved wearing their clothes. I loved being a part of the company.”

She says the Benrus experience is a much bigger brand and platform. The clothing and lifestyle company hopes to compete with brands like Michael Kors and Calvin Klein. For the record, Kostek does have a favorite Benrus product: “the almond gold Concorde glasses,” she said. “I have a love for anything gold.”
