Mary Dumont is leaving Harvest in Harvard Square. The chef posted a note on Facebook over the weekend that said that after eight years at the restaurant, she's leaving to "pursue my dream of opening my own Boston-based restaurant." She added, "After so much planning, I can't wait for all the exciting times ahead, and to welcome you all into my new home! Stay tuned for updates on my new venture!!!!" No word on who will take her place, but Chris Himmel , of Himmel Hospitality Group said, of Dumont, in a statement, "She has agreed to assist with the transition. As Harvest approaches its 40th Anniversary, we look forward to writing its next chapter."
