The late Norman B. Leventhal, who endowed the Boston Public Library’s Norman B. Leventhal Map Center, was honored by family and friends Friday night at the opening of “We Are One: Mapping America’s Road From Revolution to Independence.” The exhibit will be up through November, after which it travels to Colonial Williamsburg. Guests included BPL president Amy Ryan, Norman’s son Alan Leventhal, Map Center executive director Jan Spitz; and Mayor Marty Walsh. Leventhal died in April at 97.
