Courtney Love will be in Cambridge in October for “Kansas City Choir Boy,” which will run as part of the American Repertory Theater’s Oberon Presents Series. The ART says the production, which runs Oct. 1-10, is a “theatricalized concept album” that features Todd Almond, who wrote the music and lyrics. . . . Writer-director Maya Forbes will be at the Woods Hole Film Festival this weekend for a screening of her “Infinitely Polar Bear,” which was filmed in Rhode Island and is based on her childhood in Massachusetts. Leading a discussion after the film will be WBUR’s Robin Young. . . . The Boston Book Festival has announced its 2015 headliners. They include Margaret Atwood, Colum McCann, Atul Gawande, and Libba Bray. This year’s BBF is Oct. 23 and 24.
