A women’s philanthropy summit at Trade

The heads of five big women’s philanthropy groups around Boston gathered for a lunch at Trade on Thursday. Marla Felcher, of the Philanthropy Connection, said the organizations are collectively donating $1 million to nonprofits next year, so she figured it was time organization leaders got to know one another. “We’re representing hundreds of women who are putting money in,” she said. Joining Felcher were Kirstan Barnett, of SheGives; Becky Hallowell, president of the advisory board of the Women's Fund of Essex County, Kathy Huber of the Hestia Fund, and Womenade president Christine Swistro. Hosting was Trade chef and co-owner Jody Adams. From left: Barnett, Hallowell, and Huber.
