Matt Siegel celebrates his 35th anniversary as host of KISS 108’s “Matty in the Morning” on Tuesday, and wouldn’t you know he’s off this week. That’s right, the 65-year-old Marconi Award winner and his cohorts Billy Costa and Lisa Donovan aren’t around to celebrate the on-air birthday. (CEO of iHeart Bob Pittman and Ryan Seacrest checked in last week.) In an e-mail Monday alerting us to the anniversary, station execs cited Siegel’s “never-ending charm and unique appeal” as reasons for his high ratings and longevity. And here we thought it was his peevishness and willingness to poke fun at himself.
