More than 800 well-dressed guests gathered at the Museum of Fine Arts for the Museum Council’s annual Summer Party on June 11. The sold-out event in the museum’s glass-enclosed Shapiro Family Courtyard featured music spun by DJ Rich DiMare, cocktails, desserts, dancing, and a juried silent auction. This year’s co-chairs were Marc and Charlotte Zawel, Elizabeth Dunne Marcoulier and Jason Marcoulier, and Alice Rossiter and George Lewis . Among those in the crowd were Fox 25’s Julie Grauert, NECN meteorologist Nelly Carreño, WHDH’s Nancy Chen, Kennedy Elsey of Mix 104.1 FM, Ben and Tonya Mezrich, Lauren Wells, fashion illustrator Holly Nichols, Jen Mergel, the MFA’s Beal Senior Curator of Contemporary Art, as well as Irwan Ahmett and Tita Salina, who will present their performance piece “Urban Play-Playing Data” at the MFA on July 8.
