Globe reporter Astead W. Herndon spotted Rob Gronkowski throwing ice cream out to a happy crowd outside of Macy’s in Downtown Crossing today. The tight end was dressed in sleeveless white collared shirt, red-and-white striped vest, white pants, an old-timey straw hat and a bright red bow tie. Herndon took video of Gronk in action:

When you have a job in the city and Gronk gives your boy a Big Dipper ice cream while filming his own commercial. How "cool" is that?!!!!
