Shepard and Juliet make the cut with Bon Appétit

Two local eateries — Shepard in Cambridge and Juliet in Somerville — are among America’s 50 best new restaurants of 2016, according to Bon Appétit. The magazine praised chef Susan Regis and chef de cuisine Peter McKenzie for making Shepard “the smartest restaurant in Cambridge,” and gave kudos to Juliet co-owner Katrina Jazayeri and chef Joshua Lewin for creating “the lunch spot you dream of stumbling into” and an ever-changing menu that features “energetic, personal cooking that’s truly one of a kind.” Check out the rest of the top 50 list here: www.bonappetit.com/best-new-restaurants.
