Tom Brady will not be on Daniel Radcliffe’s fantasy football team

It’s well known that “Harry Potter” actor Daniel Radcliffe has a man crush on Tom Brady. In an interview with Vanity Fair a few years ago, Radcliffe was asked about his real-life heroes and he responded: “My parents. Tom Brady. Tom Lehrer.” (Lehrer is a celebrated satirist known for ditties like “Poisoning Pigeons in the Park.”)

The English actor, who’s a serious NFL fan, met Brady once and it didn’t go well.

“He was with Gisele [Bundchen],” he told The Daily Mail. “I must have been the first person to totally ignore her. I just went, ‘You’re so cool, you’re awesome. Just continue doing what you’re doing,’ and just left. I barely gave him the chance to reply.”

So it was a bit of a surprise to discover that Radcliffe’s fantasy football team will not include the Pats QB.

Approached outside a theater in New York this week, Radcliffe was asked if he’ll draft Brady.

“You don’t draft quarterbacks in the first round,” he said, sounding incredulous. “Come on, you know that. Don’t ask silly questions.”

So who would Radcliffe draft? He thought for a moment and said Todd Gurley, the Los Angeles Rams running back.
