After 35 years with “The Loren & Wally Morning Show,” Wally Brine has decided to retire from WROR-FM (105.7), and friends and co-workers gathered at the Kowloon Restaurant on Tuesday to bid him farewell.

More than 300 guests attended the retirement party, which was hosted by Kowloon owners the Wong family, and we hear there was plenty of laughter and applause, and even some tears. Among those to roast and toast Brine were Lenny Clarke, Tony V, Chris Zito, and Mike McDonald, as well as Brine’s longtime partner in crime, Loren Owens, and WROR colleagues Brian Bell, Lauren Beckham Falcone, Hank Morse, and Mikey the Plumber.

Wally’s last day on WROR will be Friday. We wish him well, and we’ll miss hearing him on the radio, for sure.
