The Globe’s Scott Allen and Jenna Russell were at William James College in Newton Wednesday talking about the Spotlight team’s recent series on mental health. . . . Former Boston University hockey player Travis Roy appears in the latest issue of People magazine, and discusses his tragic 1995 hockey accident that left him paralyzed and the work he does with the Travis Roy Foundation. . . . Radio Disney’s Jessie Chris plans to visit Tyngsborough Elementary School Friday afternoon. Chris, who grew up in Southborough, will speak to students about her experiences with bullying, and we hear she may do a special acoustic performance for them. . . . Danny Amendola of the Patriots revealed “25 Things You Don’t Know About Me” in Us Weekly. It turns out his favorite TV show is ‘Married With Children,” he loves the color black, and his childhood nickname was “Squeaky.” He admits he’s had one “big fan moment” with a star: “It was when I first met Ben Affleck. We were both at an event in LA, and just as I was working up the courage to go introduce myself, he actually recognized me. Turns out that Ben is a big Patriots fan — it was great.”
