John Lithgow returned to his alma mater the other day to be honored with the Harvard Arts Medal. The actor, who’s won two Tonys, five Emmys, and been nominated for two Oscars, received a surprise musical tribute from the Harvard-Radcliffe Gilbert & Sullivan Players, an organization he led as president as an undergrad. . . . Meanwhile, tech executive Sheryl Sandberg visited Rosie’s Place after her talk at the Back Bay Events Center about her new book, “Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience, and Finding Joy.”
