Elected officials and community leaders joined Bunker Hill Community College and the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center to celebrate the grand opening of the Pao Arts Center in Chinatown Saturday, and WCVB-TV’s Janet Wu emceed the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Among those in attendance were Bunker Hill Community College president Pam Eddinger; Giles Li, executive director of the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center; Julie Burros, chief of arts and culture for the city of Boston; state Treasurer Deborah Goldberg; philanthropists Eleanor and Frank Pao; BCNC board president Selina Chow; Quincy City Councilor Nina Liang; and San San Wong, senior program officer for the Barr Foundation. The grand opening festivities also included performances by musician Kevin So and beatboxer Gene Shinozaki.
