Hats off to Party in the Park

Guests donned fashionable hats and showed their support for the Emerald Necklace Conservancy at the annual Party in the Park luncheon on Wednesday. The event took place in Jamaica Plain as a benefit for the Justine Mee Liff Fund and Olmsted Tree Society, and this year’s honorary chairs were Mayor Marty Walsh; Lorrie Higgins; Chris Cook, commissioner of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department; Erin Gallentine, Brookline’s director of parks and open space; and Leo Roy, commissioner of the state Department of Conservation and Recreation. The program included an auction, raffle, and the 2017 Liff Spirit Award was presented to Whitney Hatch, chairman of the DCR stewardship council.
