Even at the Sunset Acres Village retirement home, Peyton Manning can’t get away from Tom Brady.

In a comedic, pre-recorded skit shown at the 25th ESPYs Wednesday night, Manning had high hopes of moving into Sunset Acres and spending his retirement with new friends and card games.

But that all changed when Ruth came along.

Ruth is Manning’s “nightmare,” he affectionately calls her.

She gets compliments for creating purple blobs of clay in arts and crafts.

She cuts all the good coupons out of Manning’s newspapers.

And to make matters worse, she’s Brady’s fictional “Gam Gam.”

“Brady! I knew it!” Manning says when he walks into Ruth’s room one day while she’s videochatting with her grandson. “I knew there was something about you, Ruth.”

When Brady tells his grandmother he used to play football with Manning, she responds, “Oh isn’t that wonderful.”

But even Ruth couldn’t let the moment slip by without reminding Manning of his rival. Turning to him with a smile, she adds: “Did you win five Superbowls too?”
