Comedian and actress Amy Schumer was spotted on Tremont Street filming “I Feel Pretty” on Monday.
The movie — written and directed by Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, who also have writing credits on “The Vow’ and “How to Be Single” — also stars Emily Ratajkowski of “Gone Girl” and Michelle Williams, whose last local film was “Manchester by the Sea.”
The “Pretty” crew was set up near Union Park on Tremont Street by early afternoon, with the action around the restaurants Metropolis and House of Siam. Neighbors were warned about the shoot with a flier.
“I Feel Pretty” is about a woman (Schumer) who, after banging her head, believes that a spell has made her gorgeous. That extra confidence winds up changing her life.

Schumer’s isn’t the only big project filming in Massachusetts; the J.J. Abrams Hulu series “Castle Rock,” based on the stories of Stephen King, has been filming in Lancaster.
The Associated Press reported Monday that Schumer has signed on to star in Steve Martin’s Broadway show ‘‘Meteor Shower’’ at the Booth Theatre in November. The cast includes Keegan-Michael Key, Laura Benanti, and Alan Tudyk.
