City Winery has delayed the opening of its Boston location for a second time. The Canal Street venue, which will host live music, was supposed to open mid-September but rescheduled for Oct. 16 because of construction. Over the weekend, the business confirmed it had pushed the opening to Oct. 26. Longtime Bruce Springsteen drummer Max Weinberg was to be the featured act on Oct. 16.
Michael Dorf, City Winery’s CEO, released this statement to the Globe: “Due to continuing construction delays, we must push back the opening of City Winery by ten days. All shows on or after October 26th are scheduled to go on as planned at this moment. We regret the inconvenience this is causing our new customers, our performing artists, and our staff. We are eager to open and are doing everything humanly possible to expedite the process. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
