American Repertory Theater artistic director Diane Paulus, whose “Finding Neverland” was produced by Harvey Weinstein, has released the following statement in response to reports of Weinstein’s history of sexual harassment and assault.

“While I never experienced this side of Harvey in my working relationship with him, I am appalled by his behavior, and I stand strongly with all of the women who have had the courage to come forward,” Paulus said.

Paulus directed “Finding Neverland,” which had its US premiere in Cambridge in 2014. Weinstein attended opening night.

Paulus’s statement came after a day of new allegations against Weinstein, who was fired by the studio he cofounded after The New York Times published a story about his history of sexual harassment and abuse.
