Festivalgoers with HUBweek gathered at the Bruce C. Bolling Municipal Building on Tuesday night for the Microsoft-sponsored Roxbury Innovation Showcase. The event highlighted local startups, food, and poets from the 826 Slam Poetry Team (826 Boston, a writing center for young people, is located in Roxbury’s Egleston Square).

HUBweek — a festival celebrating technology, business, science, and the arts put on by the Globe, Harvard, Mass General, and MIT — kicked off Tuesday and runs through Sunday. It includes the GlobeDocs Film Festival, which begins tonight with a screening of Kief Davidson and Pedro Koss’s health care-focused “Bending the Arc,” executive produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.
