Josh Binswanger is new WBZ radio morning anchor

In case you haven’t heard, WBZ-AM (1030) has found its new morning anchor. Josh Binswanger, who actually got his start at the station hosting “Kids Company,” has taken over for Joe Mathieu, who departed earlier this year. More recently, Binswanger hosted and produced programs for Fox News, ABC, CBS, and the History Channel, racking up a few awards (including a Peabody) in the process.

“This is a homecoming that’s a perfect fit for WBZ and for Josh,” Peter Casey, WBZ’s director of news and programming, said in a statement. “He brings a wealth of local knowledge and national news experience, and needs no tutorial on how to pronounce Gloucester or Worcester.”

In the same statement, Binswanger said: “I look forward to digging into the daily process of providing great journalism on the radio every day. In an era of news anytime anywhere I’m thrilled to be able to be a part of that on WBZ.”

We’d show you a photo of Binswanger, but, well, it’s radio.
